AVIATION FOR KIDS

www.aviation4kids.org

Who are we?

Aviation 4 Kids is a non-profit organisation based in Melsbroek Belgium created by a group of aviators and aviation enthusiasts.

What do we do?

We share our passion for aviation with children in need & less privileged communities and we participate in the reforestation of our beautiful planet.

How do we do this?

We provide the opportunity to discover aviation, live a fun educational day and offer the possibility to discover what it feels to fly by means of a “first flight”.

Who do we offer this opportunity to?

Children in Need

We closely work with various children hospital wards and non-profit organisations, providing service to children that are unfortunately victim of long term illnesses, giving them the opportunity to have a full fun outdoor day and participate in activities in relation with general aviation.

Provide children in need them with one of the best days in life and put stars in their eyes.

See Belgium from above!

Share our passion for flying!

Less Socially Privileged Communities

Aviation in general is often perceived by the general population to be mostly accessible to more privileged communities, this statement is not entirely wrong!

At A4K we act as a facilitator/promotor of aviation in general within our younger communities, we are looking to closely work with youth organisations and schools across Belgium to promote the social aspects of aviation, going to communities to let them discover the various career opportunities in our amazing sector and, ignite a passion for aviation! A4K will provide the same one day activity as mentioned above.

Carbon Footprint Offset & Reforestation

Flying an aircraft around and driving from hospitals wards to communities & airports has undoubtably an impact on the environment, at A4K we decided to reduce our carbon footprint, by supporting an non-profit organisation in Kenya that specialises in reforestation by using an innovative concept.

www.seedballskenya.com

The Reforestation program is very unique. They invented the seed ball with compacted charcoal, and use aircraft to “seed-bomb” specific areas that require reforestation.

A4K is financially supporting Seed Balls Kenya and will also attain, if possible, a seed bombing rally in 2024 in Kenya; to cover more than a 1000 hectares of arid soil.

Fun fact: Seed Balls Kenya uses general aviation aircraft to seed-bomb large areas. By supporting them we stay in our aviation philosophy whilst positively impacting the environment.

Where do we operate?

Our main airport of operations is Grimbergen Vliegveld next to Brussels. Nevertheless, we will operate all over the country where required.

Our community of volunteers

Our community is composed of professional pilots, airline and airport managers, engineers, office clerks, ground staff, cabin attendants, plane spotters, aviation enthusiasts and simply people from our general community willing to devote some of their precious time to help children in need.

Promotion-visibility & fundraising rally

Next to our regular social activities A4K will be attending air shows in Belgium with a high visibility factor to the general public. We will offer “first flights” if possible.

List of air shows:

-        Deurne Aviation Fair (+- 15k visitors)

-        Melsbroek Open Door Days – 75th Anniversary (+- 15k visitors)

-        Koksijde Belgian Aerobatics Championship (+- 25k visitors)

-        Schaffen-Diest Fly In (+- 7k visitors)

-        Flying Festival Braschaat (+- 5k visitors)

-        Kleine-Brogel Belgian Airforce Days (+- 40k visitors)

We are seeking financial support from mainly aviation related sponsors but are open to anyone or organisation willing to support. We are using online fundraising platforms and organise specific evening events such as “Bbq (summer) & Spaghetti (Winter) evenings”.

Our Vehicles:

In order to operate we have volunteers that own small general aviation aircrafts, however, organising such activities based on a fleet of “voluntary based available aircraft” can be an added value to our organisation, but also a risk should our volunteer pilots and aircraft become unavailable last minute. Therefore we are looking to raise the required funds to buy our own aircraft and guarantee year round activities.

We are seeking to purchase a two seater Beechcraft skipper (+-35k unit at current pricing) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beechcraft_Skipper

We are also seeking support/sponsorship in kind from any car manufacturer or leasing company ready to support us with second hand vehicles to transport kids & wheelchairs/equipment for the day and our promotional/sponsorship equipment to attend air shows. Ideally we are looking at  a 9 seater van and a regular utility van.

These two vehicles as well as the aircraft will be used for sponsoring visibility along with other exposure offers (see sponsoring program below)

Sponsoring in Kind

To make sure we can record our activities and prepare souvenirs videos we are seeking support in kind from any brand that would provide us with the necessary filming, editing equipment, laptop, gopros camera, etc..

Are you interested in joining our community and provide your company the opportunity to act on the local community and have a positive social impact? Do not hesitate a second & join us today!

Here under are the various sponsoring options based on yearly fees and 3 year contract.

Should you have any other form of sponsoring program? We are open to hear what you can offer.
